Brasil Trip 2017 - Week 3

Our third week in Brasil was a rather busy time, driving here there and everywhere, visiting friends, and even being tourists for a few days!  It was a truly wonderful week of exploring, relaxing, and spending time with friends and family.

Huge shout-out to Andre for his amazing photos!!!  Most of the photos in this post are by him, and I think they are just amazing!  You can follow him on Instagram for some more photography at andrelucasjc.

PS Once again, the photo quality will vary - some are from our iPhones and others are from our Canon 650D.  Also, the photos were taken by me unless stated otherwise.

We travelled 4 hours to the beach, and the car ride wasn't super fun (hence the baby out of the carseat!)... but the beautiful destination made it worthwhile. I think.

Finally we made it to the beach!! Sand! Water! Bright sun!

Night walks onto the pier (we had to walk off our buffet dinner!). HUGE shoutout to Pastor Antonio Marcos for inviting us on the trip, driving us and feeding us for the couple days!

Paulinho's pastel!! My favourite :D

Zoe had such fun playing with her little cousins (Andre's cousins kids)!!

Zoe finally got to meet her Vovô!!! (Grandpa) This was such a special moment for all of us (and it didn't take her too long to become accustomed to him!).

How sweet! Offering her food to Vovô!

Such special, special moments :)

In Brasil, the "thing" to do is hang out at the shopping centre... so we did - a lot! Also, air conditioning......

This was a crazy moment. We all freaked out and dived for the cameras!

On the bus ready to go to Sao Paulo!

Pretty side streets

We had a tourist day!! We began at Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de Sao Paulo (free entry, and a nice quiet way to start the day).

Next, we walked down the road to Parque de Independencia. A gorgeous building surrounded by pretty gardens, this was the place where Brasil's independence was declared in 1822 by D. Pedro.

I just love old buildings, and I was so happy we got to see this one! Absolutely gorgeous!

I'm so happy to be able to share these photos with you; I personally love them and am so happy that we were able to capture some of these memories.

Get ready to check out week 4 of our trip, PLUS my reflections on travelling with a 9- and 10-month-old!
