"Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership."

Does this verse convict you? Does it make you question where you're at in your service to the Lord?
It certainly did this to me!
It can be so easy for us to serve in various ministries without even thinking about it - we teach Sunday School, cook meals for those in need, invite fellow believers over to have a meal, lead worship, prepare morning teas, join church and mission boards... The list is endless.
"6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands."
1 Timothy 4:14
Every single person has been given special gifts and talents. Along with these, God grants grace and wisdom in how to use them. Our only task here is to actually use our gifts. When we are available, God makes a way.
It is healthy - essential, even - for us to stop and think about our gifts and ask ourselves how we are using them - if we are using them!
